Even if you normally hate fan-fiction, try a little bit of it today. Write a scene or two with your favorite characters from your favorite TV series. Now ignore social conventions- are you actually proud of your writing? Your writing, not the character development or even plot. Why? Try and find out what hidden technique created that spark.
